'SI (Sensory Intelligence)', 2026

'SI (Sensory Intelligence)' is not so much just the title of the sculptural object, but the way a human audience completes it by seeing, smelling, feeling, hearing and sensing it. Made from ecological glass mineral wool that exists to prevent heat loss, this experiential sculpture works against what has been termed 'social warming' (the gradual, often negative shift in social attitudes and behaviours driven by social media's algorithms). By directly evoking our senses, it hopes to highlight that it is our embodied sensory intelligence that connects us with each other.

The looped audio is made up of recordings sent to me by fellow artists and friends that all say the sentence: "I sense, therefore I am – human." in over 15 different languages and dialects, such as Farsi, Kurdish, Dutch, Korean, Saxon Dialect, Palestinian Dialect, Lithuanian and more, all coming together in the face of AI.
